A wine cooler maintains a stable temperature range of 6–18°C with controlled humidity, minimal vibration and UV-protected glass. Standard refrigerators run at 2–4°C, have high vibration levels and low humidity — all damaging to wine over time.

Light reds (Pinot Noir, Beaujolais) store best at 12–14°C. Full-bodied reds (Cabernet Sauvignon, Barolo) at 16–18°C. For long-term ageing, a consistent 14°C suits most red varieties.

A dual-zone wine cooler has two independently controlled temperature compartments. You can set the upper zone for whites (6–10°C) and the lower for reds (14–18°C), or use one zone for serving temperature and the other for long-term storage.

No. Freestanding models require ventilation clearance on all sides and the rear. Installing one in an enclosed space restricts airflow and will damage the compressor. Only undercounter or fully integrated models are designed for enclosed installation.

Empty the unit and turn it off. Wipe the interior with a damp cloth and mild detergent — never use abrasive cleaners or bleach. Remove wooden shelves and wash separately. The exterior stainless finish should be wiped with a dry microfibre cloth in the direction of the grain.
